Celebrate the flax harvest with a festive weekend of community, conversations, education and craic!
🗓️ August 22 – 23 2026
📍 An Creagán (Creggan, Omagh, Co. Tyrone) & Mallon Linen farm (105 Pomeroy Rd, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone)
🎟️ Tickets coming soon! On-site accommodation will be available to book too.
Fibreshed Ireland is once again partnering with Mallon Linen, and Brink! to bring you a packed weekend of presentations, panel discussions, craft demonstrations, a farm visit, music and poetry. Join us to learn about the past of linen production on this island, the present solutions & challenges, and help shape a regenerative, equitable and joyful flaxen future! Tickets and on-site accommodation oprtions will be released very soon.
The format of the event is a combination of a conference, workshop, and flax harvesting party – it’s a meitheal after all! The first day in An Creagán will be more conference stye, with presentations and workshops throughout the day. We will finish with an evening of music, poetry, crafting, and craic. The second day in Mallon Linen will be a working day of harvesting flax, so please bring weather resistant clothes. Accompanied children are very welcome to join us. Bear in mind that the first day is very talk-heavy, so children might need to bring some alternative form of entertainment. The An Creagán centre has some beautiful nature and heritage trails, as well as a play garden that visitors are welcome to enjoy.
Accessibility: The first day will be held in An Creagán, which is fully wheelchair accessible, including the on-site cottages. Unfortunately, Mallon Linen, where the second day is taking place, is a working farm and not wheelchair accessible. Please get in touch with any other accessibility queries, and we’ll do our utmost best to accommodate you!
