Save the date for our annual symposium! Join us on Friday 13 November from 10:00am – 5:00pm in the Dublin Liberties Distillery. Under this year’s theme, Common challenges, interwoven solutions, we will bring together farmers, processors, designers, makers, researchers, and consumers from around the island and beyond, to offer solutions for the challenges of shortening value chains in the European textile industry. 

Accessing locally-grown and processed wool, linen, and hemp is difficult, not just in Ireland, but in most European countries. By sharing knowledge and establishing intra-European partnerships with like-minded individuals and organisations, we can address these obstacles in imaginative and life-supporting ways.

Just like the resilience of an ecosystem is rooted in a series of entangled relationships between diverse beings, our interconnected textile ecosystem must also be based on collaboration between unlikely partners, if we are to successfully navigate the increasingly unstable climate ahead.
