Fibreshed Ireland is partnering with Mallon Linen, Brink!, artpark Hoher Berg and the Linen Biennale Northern Ireland to bring you a packed weekend of presentations, panel discussions, craft demonstrations, a farm visit, music and poetry. Join us to learn about the past of linen production on this island, the present solutions & challenges, and help shape a regenerative, equitable and joyful flaxen future!
Please note: In the interest of being able to offer on-site accommodation to as many attendees as possible, please consider sharing a double bed with a (new or old) friend. Think of it as going back to summer camp for the weekend!

10:30am – 11:30am — Shuttles and Shafts exhibition talk with Trish Belford & Paul Kelly
12:00pm – 1:00pm — Learning from the experts panel with Lindsay Easson, Tiernan Stuart & Brian O’Hara (moderated by Charlie Mallon)
1:00pm – 2:00pm — Lunch (included)
2:00pm – 3:00pm — New applications for flax panel with Helen Keys, Jane McCann & Peter Quigley (moderated by Gawain Morrison)
3:00pm – 4:00pm — Building a flax commons presentation by Zoe Gilbertson
4:30pm – 6:00pm — From sow to sew: a co-creation workshop with Claire FitzGerald
6:00pm – 7:00pm — Celebratory dinner (included)
7:00pm onwards — Songs and poetry about flax, open mic, craic agus ceol (music and celebration)
Sunday 31 August — Mallon Linen farm:
9:00am — On-site restaurant open for breakfast (not included)
10:00am — Mini bus leaves for Mallon Linen farm
10:30am – 12:30pm — Talk about spinning machines with Rosie Bristow & Tiernan Stuart. Chat about seed saving with Richie Walsh. Flax harvest, bring suitable clothes for the farm!
12:30pm – 2:00pm — Farewell lunch in Mallon Linen farm (included)
2:30pm — Mini bus returns to Dublin
